Styrian Zirbenland-an eldorado for hiking in Austria

Approximately 20 hiking-, bike- and nordic-walkingtours are leading through “Zirbenland”, which enchants all senses with its beautiful nature. The tours range from easy to medium, all of them are perfectly tagged. Even the peaks of Seetaler alps, Stubalpe, Gleinalpe or Tauern shouldn’t be a problem for 50plus guests. The majority of them is easily to be scaled and every step pays off, because on top one has a fantastic panorama. The most beautiful and highest peak in Zirbenland is the Zirbitzkogel (2396 meters) and is part of the Seetaler Alps.

It doesn’t matter if one scales it from south (Neumarkt) or north (St. Anna/St. Wolfgang) it will always smell like stone pines and next to the path alpine roses will glow. With this natural pleasure the active well-being starts! 20 metres beneath the peak, one can find the Zirbitzkogel house, which is the oldest and highest shelter in Styria.
